Madisson is now out on the hard, at Rebak Marina, Langkawi, Malaysia.She is a 4 double cabin version of these very popular French built Beneteaus. Beneteau refers to the Beneteau 50s as : "Its very essence is easy and comfortable offshore sailing in style, and was designed to adapt to different sailing activities, for pleasure seekers and those who appreciate beauty... Reliability, performance, comfort at sea and at the port, autonomy and adaptability were therefore the main criteria used for the creation of this offshore sailing model. " Madisson is a 2004 build. These production sailing yachts were built in France and have been sailed and exported world wide. Designed by Farr/Briand to be comfortable and spacious, the boat features twin forward double berths and twin double aft cabins, all with ensuite toilet and shower. Many were sold into charter fleets worldwide. Perfect for a family, or guests, or for charter. The galley has a gas cooker and oven which is to starboard of the companionway ladder. She has twin stainless steel sinks, hot/cold pressure water (heated from engine or shore power) and refrigeration with a separate freezer box. The saloon features a large dining table, settees on both sides and storage above and below. There is also a large crew cabin/storage room is in the bow. Her current owner purchased her in 2014. Through 2014 and 2015 he installed the current Yanmar engine, the 21 Kva genset, as well as a new main and genoa. He replaced the navigation system, and also he once again changed one of the chart plotter displays and the autopilot displays, and installed the bow thruster. Sailing the boat only from Thailand to Langkawi and back during his seasonal sailing on her, he predominately berthed her in Langkawi, where he also installed the solar arch and new panels in 2017. After his last sail from Phuket to Langkawi in 2019, the boat was left in Rebak Marina during Covid. She has now been hauled onto the hardstand, and has had her engine and genset serviced. Langkawi is a fabulous port to begin to get to know your new boat, as there are many islands to sail to, all year round. Langkawi is a duty free island, so provisioning, or buying spare parts is easy, and there are many marine contractors to assist with maintenance.
