Perfectly located and priced for cruising the Solent
Nestling on the Eastney Peninsula, in the quieter reaches of Langstone Harbour, Southsea Marina is perfectly located for exploring the delights of the Solent. A friendly marina, with a sailing club feel, ideal for sailing and motor cruisers alike, Southsea offers outstanding value, new luxury facilities and two onsite eateries. Add a customer service rating that’s among the best in the leisure industry and a 24-hour manned reception and you have your ideal berth.
Premier’s Southsea Marina is just 15 minutes from the heart of the Solent and offers berthing for 307 boats up to 17m (max 2.2 draft). The marina has a tidal gate that offers unrestricted access three hours either side of high water. When waiting for the gate access you may tie up to the outer pontoon until the tide turns, fuel your boat, or alternatively, ask the marina team to later repatriate your boat to your berth.
On land, if you’d like to stretch your legs, the beautiful sandy beaches of Hayling Island are just a short distance away. But if you are looking for more lively attractions you can always head off to Southsea Seafront or opt for the shops, restaurants, multiplex cinema and nightclubs of Gunwharf Quays. High life aside, most boaters prefer to stay onsite to relax in the laid-back atmosphere of the marina.
Onsite facilities are comprehensive and include luxury toilets and showers, free WiFi, a bar/café and a popular Indian restaurant. There’s also a fully serviced boatyard with a 25 tonne hoist, 15 tonne crane and storage ashore; electricity and water on pontoons, a fuel bay with diesel and petrol, pump out facilities and a launderette.
In water berthing is offered on an annual pay annual, or annual pay monthly basis; there’s monthly seasonal berthing and visitor days. Additionally, smaller racing yachts can take advantage of dry berthing at the marina. As a Premier Marinas annual pay annual customer you are entitled to a raft of berth holder benefits including: Fuel at cost; 42 free visitor days (subject to the availability of a berth) at all Premier Marinas: Falmouth, Noss on Dart, Swanwick, Gosport, Port Solent, Chichester, Brighton and Eastbourne. Premier Marine Insurance offers exclusive benefits (in association with GJW Direct); up to 8 weeks free storage ashore plus 15% off Premier Boatyard services and there are Sea Start benefits.
Road and rail access to the marina is good too with Portsmouth stations a short distance away and the M27, A3 and A27 are within easy reach. To find out more about Southsea marina or to arrange a free trial night call: 023 9282 2719 or visit premiermarinas.com.
