Owners' comments
She was purchased in December 1984. The boat was named Bigwig as it was appropriate to the first owners profession, and also the make was a Warrior, and the warrior rabbit in Watership Down was called Bigwig.
Over the years she has cruised to the West Country, the Channel Islands and the North Brittany coast many times. She has been used as a family boat and the owners have rebuilt or renewed all the equipment, which covers rewiring, engine rebuild, steering overhaul, new gearbox, rigging, sails, cooker, toilet, fuel tank etc.
The hull was resprayed by Desty Marine, but requires some touch up which will be completed together with a polish of the hull on agreement to purchase. She was overhauled three years ago with new equipment, batteries, foresail and rigging and a survey was completed with no faults found (2021 - copy available). The reason for selling is that the owners have moved over to power and the children are no longer using the boat. She has numerous tools and spares specific to the boat.
