HISTORY OF MAINTENANCE
Priory to launch in 2018 ; All engine oils, filters (oil, fuel and air) and coolants were changed. (Since then, engine oils and filters annually, fuel filters every 100 hrs). Turbo chargers inspected, new alternator belts, Rudders dropped and repacked, New diaphragm to manual Bilge pump, Antifouling removed and 2 coats of epoxy applied over existing preventative epoxy tar (see photos).
LAST 5 YEARS
Galvanic Isolator and RCD, 1 New WC (the other, new pump unit), Holding tank with pump out, All associated pipework replaced with Saniflex Premium rubber sanitation hose and all 5 seacocks replaced with Tru Design (glass reinforced nylon). Front wheelhouse windows removed and re-bedded, RIB dinghy, 320watt solar panel, 3000 watt Inverter, Flybridge VHF, Combination oven, Saloon Venetian blinds, Upper deck Drains, Forward hatch screen, Vetus Bowthruster, Both exhaust mixer elbows renewed and repaired, Both raw water pumps : new casings, bearings, seal's and impellers, Engine's flushed with Rydlyme, starboard engine mount's renewed, Webasto heater overhaul (new burner and glow plug), new domestic water pump and accumulator tank, electric towel rail in shower compartment, starboard prop shaft removed, new cutlass bearing, balance prop. (Same to port side immediately prior to our purchase of boat). Stuffing boxes repacked. Both engines flexible supply and return fuel hose replaced, Raymarine 12" Plotter, New aft deck covers.
OWNERS REMARKS
Galene is a heavily built Dutch GRP semi displacement m/y we bought in 2017. Launched in 2018 and cruised since between the West coast of Scotland and our current berth at Titchmarsh marina. Lightly used and in very good condition for her age, we have kept her well maintained and cared for. Having proven to be safe, reliable and comfortable, we had hoped and intended to continue further south for a few years. Unfortunately, age and health have overtaken us.
