ENGINES

Two x YANMAR 3YM30E fresh water cooled each with 120 Amp alternators.

Starboard Alternator new July 2023. 

Both engines have a service history with regular professional maintenance.  Full out of water  services for both engines and sail drives in March 2023 .These engines are economical to run using approximately three litres per hour each cruising at 6.5 knots. Each engine has a dedicated starting battery although these can be linked if required .  

The starboard engine heats Quick B3 25 -25 litre hot water cylinder which also has a 240v electric immersion  heater. 

Due to light use of the boat the engines have very low hours of 2346 as at August 2023. 

Fuel is carried in two separate 200L tanks serving each engine. Total fuel capacity 400 L 

HELM STATION and COCKPIT

Just Joy can be boarded from either hull. A storable aluminium passerelle is  connected to the transom of the starboard hull and a stainless steel and teak bathing ladder is attached to the transom of the port hull.

There is a hot and cold water transom shower at the stern and two large lockers provide access to the engine compartments  with storage areas above.

The six person life-raft is located in a S/S cradle on the transom.  

The  elevated helm station is to starboard and a general seating area is to port. A sliding patio door provides access to the interior of the boat. 

The helm station has a comfortable double seat, leather covered steering wheel, engine controls and comprehensive instrumentation.

The seating area provides a dual position table and comfortable cushions with towelling covers.

The ventilated gas locker is under the seating. A further locker provides under seat storage. Dual manual bilge pumps lie adjacent. 

COCKPIT ENCLOSURES

Just Joy has two sets of fabric cockpit enclosures which extend around the cockpit seating area to provide a weather tight enclosure. These provide a year round conservatory type environment to the cockpit seating area. 

The summer covers are white perforated PVC which reflect the sun but allow a cooling breeze to pass.

The winter covers are a combination of heavy duty material and large areas of plastic windows which provide wind  and weatherproof protection. For convenience both sets of covers incorporate  securing clips to enable the covers to be rolled up.

Just Joy has two large bow storage compartments accessed by large Lewmar hatches. Both provide useful storage areas for equipment, lines fenders etc.

There is additional deck storage in the two transverse lockers behind the trampoline. These lockers contain the two water tanks and chain locker but provide much additional storage.

Just Joy is fitted with a two-spreader aluminium Seldon mast  with an air draft of 18.4 m  . The original sails remain in good condition as they have received little use .

Running rigging was reviewed in April 2023 and a number of halyards and sheets have been upgraded with new rope.

Just Joy is equipped with a Seldon bowsprit to accommodate the furling Code Zero which  uses  a continuous furling line.

There are two dedicated Harken winches to manage the sheets for the code zero on port and starboard. 

The main sail, is slab reefed and is easily handled with the adjustable  Lazy Bag. There are three continuous reefing lines all of which are led back to helm position and can be operated by the Harken two speed electric winch .

The double purchase main halyard is also raised by the Harken electric two speed winch. The self-tacking genoa is mounted on a drum furler and the single sheet can be managed by the electric winch. The electric winch can  also be used to trim, reef and recover the genoa.  

All sails have been removed and stored at the end of each sailing season.

Tivat seasonal airport is a ten minute drive  from the marina and Dubrovnik airport in Croatia receives flights from all over Europe all year round and is just over an hour's drive from the marina . 

Montenegro in not in the EU or subject to  Schengen visiting restrictions (90 days) . The current UK  owners have  a 12 month Montenegro visitors permit which allows them to remain for twelve months. This permit was  easily obtained by  the owners  by producing  their berthing contract with Porto Montenegro.  

If you like to Snow Ski, Porto Montenegro has a private Chalet in Kolasin, next to the ski areas of Kolasin 1450 and 1600, available free of charge to berth holders, subject to booking

STATES of JERSEY REGISTRATION

Just Joy has a full States of Jersey Small Ship Registration.

This can be obtained by any British subject or by other nationalities after a slightly extended application process. The Jersey registration allows the owner to display the U.K Red Ensign and offers full UK benefits. Additionally it carries some extra benefits such as a ten year duration rather than five years, and other service benefits.
