The Hallberg-Rassy 43 is one of the nice models from the Swedish yard on Orust, perfect for comfortable sailing and living. With timeless lines, a strong engine, an easy-to-handle rig, and two spacious cabins, this is a typical Hallberg-Rassy. ZAPPA, delivered in 2007, is equipped for long-distance sailing and about to arrive from a circum navigation. That started in 2019. This well-equipped boat is ready for showings and new adventures from late autumn 2024 or spring 2025.
The current owner acquired ZAPPA in 2012 and brought her to Sweden. During the following annual winter storages, she underwent professional maintenance and was equipped for circumnavigation.
In June 2019 the current owner left Sweden for a 5 year circumnavigation. During her circumnavigation, ZAPPA has been lifted annually for anti-fouling and polishing, and regular servicing on the engine, generator and other equipment has been performed. The mainsail and propeller were replaced in December 2021. In 2023 the standing and running rigging were replaced, as well as the battery bank and cutlass bearing.
ZAPPA is a well maintained and well-equipped yacht that has successfully circumnavigated the world’s oceans.
She is expected to arrive back in Sweden in October 2024, receive a yearly service at Martinsson’s yard and will be offered for showings thereafter.
