This 1978, Hallberg Rassy 26 offers four berths in two cabins in remarkable spaciousness and comfort accommodation relative to the yachts overall size. It has a a simple yet practical layout.
This Hallberg Rassy 26 has a double V-berth in the forward cabin, two single berths in the saloon, and good engine service history. Additionally, this vessel is equipped with a Simrad autopilot system and a Avansea chart plotter with 2010 UK CMap electronic charts. The current owner has enjoyed this Hallberg Rassy for the past five years and is now selling to buy a larger yacht. Accommodation :
This Hallberg Rassy 26 provides comfortable accommodation for up to four people across two cabins, with a maximum headroom of approximately 6 feet.
The forepeak features a V-berth with ample under-berth storage and an infill that easily converts it into a double berth, with natural light provided by an overhead deck hatch.
The Heads are located within the forepeak, with a white sink set in a vanity unit to starboard, offering manually pumped cold water, and a marine toilet to port with storage behind.
The saloon features a central folding table with two leaves, flanked by settee berths on both the port and starboard sides. These berths provide convenient storage under the seats and on shelves behind them. Both settees can also be easily converted into a double berth.
Located on the port side aft within the saloon, the galley is equipped with a gimbaled 2-burner gas hob with an oven and grill, a single stainless-steel sink with manually pumped cold water, and ample storage space. Adjacent to the galley is a forward-facing chart table.
Ascending the companionway leads to the spacious aft cockpit, featuring bench seating for up to four people and generous storage in two deep lockers. The cockpit instrumentation includes a compass, depth gauge, wind direction indicator, and speed log, with engine controls conveniently positioned at the rear.

History & Construction
Constructed by Hallberg Rassy in 1978 to an Ollie Enderlein design. The yacht features a white GRP hull adorned with a teak aluminium and rubber rubbing strake, self-draining cockpit, and white GRP decks with non-slip painted surfaces. Its stability is ensured by a long keel, with tiller steering and Spade rudder.
This Hallberg Rassy 26 has been well maintained by the current owner for the past 5 years. She was last antifouled and anodes changed in 2024. The owner is looking to sell as they are looking for a larger boat.

This Hallberg Rassy 26 features a Fractional Bermudan sloop rig, with a deck-stepped 1978 aluminium Selden mast and boom with stainless steel standing rigging. The stainless-steel rigging was replaced in 2016.
Equipped with a convenient furling headsail and a slab reef mainsail with stackpack. This vessel is rigged for easy sailing in various conditions. The running rigging was replaced in 2022/2023. It also rigged for a self-tacking jib

Mechanical Systems:
The Hallberg Rassy 26 is equipped with a 14HP Beta Marine engine,. The engine was installed in 2012, powering a sail drive with a two-bladed fixed propeller. The sail drive diaphragm was replaced in 2017. The engine is operated via morse lever controls. The Beta marine engine is supplied by a 42 Litre stainless steel fuel tank, the engine was last serviced by the owner in 2023. This Hallberg Rassy 26 can achieve a cruising speed of approximately 6 knots, with a maximum speed of around 9 knots.
Electrical Systems:
The Hallberg Rassy is equipped with two 12-volt batteries, comprising one for engine use and one for domestic purposes. These batteries charge directly from the engine alternator and a solar panel. Both batteries were replaced in 2020. A 240v battery charger is also fitted.
