MANUFACTURER’S COMMENTS:
The culmination of two years of research by our naval architects and design teams, the new CATANA OCEAN CLASS set standards for luxury and exception in Blue Water Cruising. She is as light as she is strong, thanks to the mastery of “CARBON INFUSION” technology, now used on all Catana boats. Her new hulls and daggerboards have been the subject of hydrodynamic studies and really puts into context the pleasure of sailing at wind-speed, in absolute comfort and total safety.
The use of the latest industrial technologies such as carbon infusion, the use of the latest generation of foams and the know-how of Catana’s R&D teams have enabled us to significantly reduce the weight of the boat in order to increase its payload capacity and its volume of life while maintaining its performance.
The new deck layout of the Ocean Class has been designed to meet the essential criteria for an ocean voyage: Safety, Simplicity & Conviviality.
It benefits from excellent visibility over both hulls and on the sugarscoops which makes manoeuvring easy and reassuring, while the compact ergonomics of the sailing hardware allow all adjustments to be made in one place, protected from the elements. This new living space can comfortably accommodate 5 people making it an ideal place to share good time together at sea.
