Cape 26
From the design office of Mark Mills and off the back of the very successful Cape 31.
Cape Performance Sailing the Sole Licence Builder of the Cape 31 has commissioned Mark Mills to
Design the Cape 26.
The Cape 26 is a budget friendly, family orientated racing yacht, yet the serious yacht racer will enjoy
the performance and strict One Design Class Rules of the Cape 26.
Designed for performance, agility, and speed, the Cape 26 will deliver a high-octane sailing
experience.
Inward facing, no hiking, with the “Mills Ramp Deck”
, the cockpit has been designed for comfort and
with the spinnaker chute, hoisting and retrieval will be a breeze, and the crew should never have to
leave the cockpit.
A Trailer Sailor that will be easy to launch and retrieve on the slip with its fully retractable rudder and
keel. Leaving a very shallow launching draft of 0.40m, yet in race mode the draft will be 2.05m.
This will deliver a powerful set-up, that will go well in light winds and also be a pleasure to sail in the
heavier winds.
The Carbon Rig manufactured in the same way as the Cape 31 Rig will make it easy to step, yet
provide outstanding performance and response to subtle tuning changes.
