OWNER’S COMMENTS:
After some thorough engine maintenance in January 2025, we tested the boat under engine power and were able to achieve speeds over 8 knots, plenty for cruising. During our sail trials in the fall of 2024, we consistently reached around 11.5 knots under sail, which is excellent for a catamaran of this size.
One of my favourite features is the three portable double induction hotplates. They are incredibly easy to operate, providing instant, super-fast heat. It’s also become a great community experience cooking together around the table with friends and family. We often enjoy preparing meals as a group, making it a fun and interactive part of our time onboard.
Additionally, VEGANA is equipped with an upgraded system, including a new Starlink connection and a powerful second router, together they are fantastic. The system allows me to control everything from the refrigerator and air conditioning to the heating and water heaters using smart sockets. Even better, I can monitor and control everything from anywhere in the world via the app, giving me peace of mind when I’m away.
This catamaran has been an absolute joy to own, and I’m confident the next owner will appreciate its perfect blend of performance, technology, and comfort.
MANUFACTURER’S COMMENTS:
All the superlatives that you are looking for. An unrivalled level of self-sufficiency in its class, the biggest sail area to weight ratio in its class, standard or flybridge helmsman area, standard or square top mainsail, and 2,3 or 4 cabins.
BALI 4.5 is built in the Catana shipyards in France, using the best quality materials. Using the closed-cell PVC foam sandwich construction and hull fabrication by infusion ensure rigidity, durability, and weight reduction. The design and the height of the nacelle allows a better passage through water and with that a higher level of comfort and safety. With the mast moved further aft there is more space for a larger self-tacking jib and with the self-tacking system, greater manoeuvrability. The sail area and weight ratio is the biggest in its class and that brings the performance that you would expect from a Catana catamaran.
Enjoy the best of what cruising has to offer. A unique freshness of the saloon with large, fully retractable windows, exceptional amount of daylight with a panoramic view from the saloon and an equipment level that will satisfy the most demanding sailors. Elegant design and interior décor arranged to provide you with a stay that is as pleasant as your own home.
