Marina di Venezia 1955, a Classic Yacht Marconi Cutter built in mahogany wood back in 1955 at the Gino d'Este shipyard in Venice and by her current owner updated for modern navigation with up to date navigation instruments and sails. In 2022 an important refit in Rome was completed and she is now perfect and ready to sail.
After construction in Venice she was sailed to The Maddalena Island in Sardinia where she in 1986 experienced a serious grounding and shifting owners in the time following. In 1993, now thirty years ago, the actual owner bought her in Rome where she has been ever since undergoing continously maintenance and modern updates.
Yanmar engine replaced in 2007. Recently new SIMRAD navigation instruments including chartplotter, depth sounder and log, autopilot and VHF. Electric windlass and elegant winches by ANDERSEN SCANDINAVIA. The shrouds replaced in 2010. Half battened mainsail and furling Genoa from 2015; Staysail and Gennaker and sheets used only a few times.
Forpeak double cabin elegantly furnished with numerous mahogany drawers and a large mirror. The salon with sofa and large dining table, convertible into a double berth. In the aft two open single berths. Pantry with refrigerator and a new two burner stove/oven. Head with electric toilet and shower. Electric boiler and autoclave. Cockpit shower with hot water. Stereo with speaker in salon and forpeak cabin.
The yacht is Italian owned and located in the marina Riva di Traiano close to Rome.
