Descrizione

Carter 43 Classic sailing yacht with splendid hull shape and good sailing characteristics. The current owner refurbished much of the overdue maintenance in 2023. He painted the hull and mast, carried out engine maintenance, replaced the batteries, partially replaced the stays, repaired the deck rail, etc. The mainsail is furling on the boom, hoisted and lowered at the mast. The furling genoa can be operated from the cockpit with a number of robust winches. You can steer in the cockpit with both the steering wheel and the tiller, of which the tiller is removable. A manual windlass is mounted on the foredeck. The life raft has been moved aft to eliminate obstructions on the foredeck. A cutter sail can be hoisted on the cutter stay. The cutter stay has also been removed for better handling of the genoa.

Accomodation

The interior is very light thanks to the white color and windows all around the roof. The upholstery was renewed in 2023. Next to the cabin entrance is a chart table on the starboard side with a quarter berth behind it. On the port side is a galley, with a large worktop in which two top-loading storage cupboards are integrated, a gimballed gas stove with oven and a double sink with cold running water. The saloon has two settee benches, with pilot berths overhead and a large folding table. There are two large water tanks under the benches. In the passage to the front cabin there is a open storage space on the starboard side, for stowing sailing gear etc. On the port side is a heads with pump toilet and sink. The front cabin has a spacious v-bed and a bulkhead has been newly placed at the foot end to create extra storage space.

Klassiek zeiljacht met fraai gelijnde romp en goede zeileigenschappen. De huidige eigenaar heeft in 2023 het achterstallige onderhoud aangepakt. Zo heeft hij de romp en mast geschilderd, motoronderhoud gepleegd, de accu’s vervangen, verstaging gedeeltelijk vervangen, de dekrail gerepareerd etc. Het grootzeil is rolreef op de giek en wordt bij de mast gehesen en gestreken. De rolreef genua is met een aantal forse lieren vanuit de kuip te bedienen. Er kan in de kuip zowel met het stuurwiel als met de helmstok gestuurd worden, waarvan de helmstok wegneembaar is. Op het voordek is een handmatige ankerlier gemonteerd. Het reddingsvlot is naar achteren verplaatst, om opstakels op het voordek te elimineren. Een kotter zeil kan aan de kotterstag gehesen worden. De kotterstag is momenteel verwijderd voor betere handling van de genua.

Interieur

Het interieur is erg licht door de witte kleur en ramen rondom in de opbouw. De blauwe stoffering is in 2023 vernieuwd. Naast de kajuitingang is aan stuurboord een kaartentafel met daarachter een hondekooi. Aan bakboord is een kombuis, met groot werkblad waarin twee bovenlader voorraadkasten zijn ingebouwd, een cardanisch gasfornuis met oven en een dubbele spoelbak met koud stromend water. De salon heeft twee langsbanken, waarboven loodskooien en een grote klaptafel. Onder de banken bevinden zich twee grote watertanks. In de doorgang naar de voorhut is aan stuurboord een opbergruimte, voor ophangen van zeilpakken e.d. Aan bakboord is een natte cel met pomptoilet en wastafel. De voorhut heeft een ruim v-bed en aan het voeteneind is een nieuw schot gemaakt om extra opslagruimte te creëren.
