Moody 38 1994 Moody 38 - this a lovely example of these popular British built sailing yachts. With a centre cockpit, the helm and crew will feel secure but with easy access to the decks, it is also well protected by a sprayhood. The interior offers two double cabins, a forward guest and aft master, both with access to individual heads, these are separated by the saloon with plenty of seating around the centre table, a well appointed galley and nav station. Her inventory includes Volvo Penta engine, copper-coated hull, heating, AIS and in-mast furling. For a couple or family this would be a great option for coastal and longer distance cruising.Rig Sloop MASTHEAD SLOOP WITH INMAST FURLING Kemp mast and boom, two sets of swept back spreaders Stainless steel standing rigging Furlex genoa furling system Mainsheet block to block system Mainsheet traveller across aft cockpit Whisker Pole SAILS Shore Sails furling mainsail Shore Sails genoa WINCHES 2 x Lewmar 44CST self-tailing genoa winches 1 x Lewmar 30ST self-tailing halyard winch on starboard coachroof 1 x Lewmar 24C halyard winch on mast 1 x Lewmar 30ST self-tailing halyard winch on mast 1 x Lewmar 8C winch cockpit aft 1 x Lewmar 16C on cockpit aft Broker comments The Moody 38 was designed by Bill Dixon, a partnership with Moody Yachts that started in the early eighties. As with any centre cockpit yacht there is a very secure feeling when sailing, plenty of protection from the elements but the ability to access and move around the wide decks is easily achieved. The interior is spacious and comfortable with ample storage around every part of the boat, the large aft master with central island bed is impressive and the saloon is a generous size with large table and seating. These are well regarded as strongly built yachts that can handle coastal cruising as well as ocean crossings.
