'Easter Maid' is a Elkins Carefee 25 wooden sloop. Her construction is of mahogany, oak and elm. She was built by the well known Christchurch boat builder, E.F Elkins . Who was responsible for the respected Laurent Giles, Vertue class of yachts. The build quality and sailing abilities of Elikins yachts are famous world wide.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a high quality hand built classic which offers good sailing performance with the added advantage of of shoal-draught making all those quiet creeks and anchorages accessible. Her lift keel is easily operated and gives her a draft of just .99 m when up. When down is draws 1.7m which gives her stable and fast sailing.
Her engine is a Nanni 14 which has been regularly serviced . All her sails are in good order. She comes with a Garmin GPS, Standard horizon DSC/VHF and a Navico TP100 autopilot. She also has shore power.
Easter Maid is a charming and practical piece of nautical history. She is a wonderful coastal cruisier and will draw attention where ever she goes.
