New Look Option For the Legendary Discovery 55

Southampton based Discovery Yachts has added the option of a new look to its popular, award winning, Discovery 55. Taking some of the design elements of the much praised Discovery 67 which was launched last year, the company has incorporated an option which can provide the modern treatment of the 67 look to the Discovery 55. The classic 55 design will remain as the standard build.

Managing Director, Nigel Stuart explains, "Many of our owners had seen the sleek appearance of the Discovery 67 at the Southampton Boat Show and we were asked if some of the design elements could be adapted for the 55. We make a point of always trying to incorporate our owner's suggestions as it is the way the Discovery range has developed, but the Discovery 55 is a classic and we have a full order book, so it was a difficult decision to change a successful formula. We have therefore made the decision to offer the design as an option to the range and hopefully satisfy our owners with either a classic or contemporary feel. The change will produce a wrap around window look for the raised saloon which certainly gives our 55 a stunning appearance."

Classic Discovery 55 orders still outnumber the new look but two of the contemporary design 55's have already been launched with another two currently under construction.
