First Phase of our Globalisation Project goes live.

new german language

With spring around the corner and a new decade underway, we want to share some key features we have added to our website, and let you know what this means to you and your customers.

At TheYachtMarket.com we are constantly improving and updating our systems so we can continue to be market leaders in the Marine Classifieds Industry.  In 2019 we set ourselves the goal of making TheYachtMarket.com more functional and accessible to a global audience, not limiting ourselves to just a few countries or locations.  We are pleased to let you know our website is now fully translated into German.  CTO and Founder Simon White commented on this massive upgrade:

“I am so proud our IT Team has successfully delivered Phase I of our Globalisation Project. The journey has been long, but this investment means a wider global coverage of boats marketed across our network.”

This update has a massive impact in our search presence and usability.  Google and other search engines will push German searches to our German language site.  Because of this we will be easier to find on search engines which will increase our visibility and lead to more enquires for your boats.  With Phase I of our Globalisation Project successfully completed, we will be introducing more languages very soon. Not only are we the fastest Marine Classifieds in the world, our site upgrades now mean we now offer an unparalleled and elegant user experience.

We have also updated our Charter URL; this update is designed to be more user friendly and easier for potential customers to search for our Charter experiences on the website.  We strive to offer the best user experience and hope that this update will enable users to find the Charter experience they desire without any difficulty.

new three column layout

Any eagle-eyed browser may have spotted we have also increased the number of columns from two to three in the grid-view for boat searches – plus numerous other enhancements to this feature. And the display of boat prices has been changed to be clearer for buyers. We’ve always displayed boat prices in both the currency the boat was listed in and the preferred currency of the buyer. However, the “listed in” price was bolder than the price in the buyer’s preferred currency. We’ve now switched this around to make it clearer for buyers.

At TheYachtMarket.com we have a philosophy of being trusted and transparent and it has been a game-changer for the industry – this includes keeping our customers up to speed on any updates and enhancements.  As usual, we welcome your thoughts on the changes, so please get in touch with our team!
