Owner Comments
Due to my career as a deep sea Master Mariner and self-employed oil consultant. I was rarely home and disappeared rapidly when a call came in offering an acceptable day rate. So the boat got very little use.
We sailed her to north France on taking delivery, then back to Scotland. Out to St Kilda in 2006 and flitting around the western isles at weekends.
Hull and mast went into the shed for the winter of 2007 and stayed in summer and winter until 2016 when we brought her out and brought her back to life. One trip - Ardrossan to Tarbert marina over a weekend with friends then I got a call for a three month job offshore in the Saudi Arabian Gulf. I phoned Peter in Ardrossan and asked him to get the rig off and return her to the shed. She was out of the shed for no more than three weeks.
Hull and mast have been in the shed since.
To keep the colour we had the hull ceramic coated and she has not been in the water since.
We replaced the batteries in 2016 and the rubber boot round the saildrive before relaunch in 2016.
All Sails and leather upholstery + mattresses stored at home in a heated dehumidified locker.
