Bought new and imported into Singapore by the current owner in 2020, “Kono” is currently berthed at One15 Marina and was run as a popular charter boat (SZH license) since launch, until recently being converted back into private use (SZ license). Kono can easily be converted back to SZH license if the new owner wishes to charter her out in future.
At 6.5m long with a 2.4m beam and 115hp Mercury outboard, this Quicksilver 605 Open is a great starter boat: easy to drive, low maintenance, economical and great looking boat!
The owner added some important options from new such as:
Bow filler cushions, making a large convertible sun-lounger at the bow
Bluetooth stereo and marine speakers
Cockpit shower to rinse off after a swim
Electric windlass for easy anchoring
Bimini for shelter
The engine has only 760 hours from new (as of August 2024) and recently completed a full service.
“Kono” is designed for having as much fun as possible at sea in an easy to use boat. The swim platform has a door on the port side to walk through the transom into the cockpit. There’s a 4 step swim ladder to climb back up after a swim and a freshwater cockpit shower to rinse off.
Being a centre console means it’s good for fishing, and there are 2 rod holders at the stern for trawling underway. There is seating for 7 people around the bow, stern and helm station. The whole boat has high gunwales so passengers are safe from both falling over the side (great for young kids!) and from being soaked as you speed over the waves.
The centre console layout means Kono is ideal for fishing. There are 2 rod holders at the stern and plenty of space either side of the helm station for walking past with your fishing gear to chase that fish.
The large open bow area has V seating as well as a forward facing bench seat that all converts to a large sunlounger.
