just arrived here in Langkawi, Malaysia, this boat has been actively cruised and ocean ready for the past 3 years, as she journeyed from The Netherlands, across the Pacific, through Indonesia and is now for sale here with Seaspray Yacht Sales, Langkawi. The owners have thoroughly loved their live aboard adventures, and have only regretfully put her up for sale as they are now committed to a larger boat.
"Deinemeid", one of seven Philip 43 yachts ever built, is a Holman-Pye design built by Philip & Son in Dartmouth England. A classic, strong boat built in the 70s, Phillip's boats have a reputation for quality craftsmanship and seaworthiness. She is sleek, fast, seaworthy and built to sail the Ocean, proving herself on recent ocean crossings, and maintained in ocean going condition. She sails extremely well, also upwind, and with her encapsulated keel, skeg protected rudder and thick GRP hull is a true blue water cruiser that will keep you safe wherever you want to go.
She really is fully ready to keep cruising and comes complete with solar panels (600W), a Schenker Zen 30 Watermaker ( 2022) a Highfield CL260 dinghy ( 2022) with a Mercury 15 hp outboard ( 2022) and many spare parts and tools.
Her Jib and Yankee were new in 2021, and her main form 2018, and her Perkins engine was fully overhauled in 2021, and has only 600 hours on her record.
She is tiller steered, and modified for blue water ocean crossings with an extra storage lazarette aft of the tiller, fully moulded into the cockpit. Her cockpit saloon table can drop down to become another berth, and there are 2 bunks on the port side that can be used for crew or storage, on the way to the queen size Vberth.
A very comfortable and capable cruising boat. This is a chance to own a piece of living history!
She is currently berthed in Rebak Marina, Langkawi, a resort marina on a duty free island, situated on the border of Malaysia and West Thailand. Residents can make use of the hard stand facilities, and amenities, as well as the resort facilities, inclusive of a swimming pool, private beach, air conditioned gymnasium, and bars and restaurant. A fabulous place to begin your adventures, you can begin with gentle local island hopping, coastal cruising in Thailand, or prepare your boat for longer voyages across the Indian Ocean, or east to Borneo, Raja Ampat, and the Pacific.
