The largest of the aft cockpit Hallberg-Rassy range, BROWNY offers a two cabin layout with a large and sociable saloon area. The generous cockpit is well protected by the trademark fixed windscreen, and sail control is supported by electric furling for both the main and headsail.
BROWNY sails from The Hamble River in Hampshire and has been under our care since new. She has been enjoyed by her owners for short cruises in the English Channel and weekend sailing in the Solent. BROWNY is a beautifully crafted sailing yacht that provides comfortable, safe, and exciting sailing.

Accommodations
All interior woodwork in European Oak matt silk finish. Flush locker doors with ventilation above. Floor is varnished teak wood with inlaid holly strips. Grey carpets throughout except in front of the galley stove.
LED lighting package throughout interior.
Saloon ceiling has panelling with mahogany strips, and ceilings in the remainder of the boat have light lining. Cushions on all berths in sandwich foam, 10 cm harder and 2 cm softer on top, totally 12 cm / 5’’ thick and resting on unvarnished, well ventilated boards to avoid condensation.
All upholstery upgraded to hard wearing Deluxe fabrics. Handholds are in all the right positions. All portholes are fitted with pleated blinds. Lots of storage in bilges.
Saloon
The saloon offers generous seating with two full-length settees port and starboard. On the port side, an L-shaped 2.00 m / 6’ 7’’ long sofa; on the starboard, a straight 2.00 m / 6’ 7'', both with backrests with upper hinges such that the whole width of the berth can be used for sleeping accommodation. Each berth has an individual reading light also. Between the settees is a strong table with foldable sides. Top opening bar in the table with wine bottle storage.
Retractable 32" TV Ocanair skyscreen in saloon. Headroom in saloon 1.96 m / 6’ 5 1/2’’.
Lee cloths to both settee berths.
Galley
Big worktop in PlexiCor solid composite stone material with strong, all-round Oak fiddle rail. Carefully insulated fridge with Isotherm water-cooled unit for chilling and a basket for small items. Additional pull-out freezer under galley worktop which can be used as a second fridge also. Extra deep, double sink. Freshwater foot pump. Two burner gas cooker with oven, well gimballed with fiddle rails and locking device for oven door and also for the cooker when in use in the marina. Safety switch on gas pipe and second gas electric switch. Crockery locker and cutlery drawers. Bread board. Room for saucepans and other kitchen utensils. There is a special place for the waste bin and stowage of other items.
Heads Compartments
Two heads with separate showers with plexiglass doors. Both heads are manual. Bulkheads and lockers in white laminate. Teak grating. Wash basin and countertop in solid composite stone material. There is a large mirror. Shower water drained by pump directly overboard without going into bilges. Hand switch for shower pump for utmost safety. Strong, reliable pump action toilets. 2 x 70 litres holding tank, emptied by gravity or by deck pump out. Cupboard below the washbasin. The aft heads has ventilation through opening deck hatch. The forward heads has additionally ventilation through a deck hatch and a ventilator. The deck hatch has milk coloured glass to allow light but obstruct view into the heads. There is a wet locker in both heads.
Removable pole in heads for sea clothes.
Forward Cabin
The forward cabin is spacious and has a seat for dressing and undressing with storage underneath. Two 2.14 m / 7’ long berths, foot end 68 cm and aft end 206 cm wide. Ample stowage above and below and in addition a number of lockers. Hanging locker. Opening skylight with curtain below.
Chart Table/work table
A comfortable work table and navigator's seat. Shelf over chart table. Chart table opens to reveal storage for papers and folded charts. Electric panel to the right of the navigator. There are drawers and stowage slots. 12v/230v and USB electric sockets at chart table.
Aft Cabin
The aft cabin has a hanging locker, a seat (with stowage beneath), and a comfortable double berth, size 2.07 m where it is longest and 2.05 m where it is shortest. 1.52 wide where it is widest and the foot end 1.20 m. Stowage room below and above. Extra opening hatch to cockpit.
