Construction
Cantiere del Pardo keeps the hull inside the mould for 10 days, while
assembling the steel structure, adjusting the centreboard and rudder, installing the engine, electricity and
plumbing, assembling the interiors and laminating the deck. This system eliminates any type of
later torsion in the assembly.
The hull is made up of 12 layers of unidirectional fabric with vinylester resin and isophthalic
gel coat. The iron structure is made up of a central beam on which the
mast, centreboard and engine rest. With 5 transverse ribs, on which the bulkheads rest.
A stainless steel reinforcement joins the standing rigging to this structure. The
deck is laminated to the hull with epoxy resin. All the deck fittings
are screwed to stainless steel plates previously laminated on the deck.
In this way, a solid, robust and compact assembly is achieved, which defines the
characteristics in navigation, and the durability of this boat.

YANMAR 4JH3E 55 HP, 470 hours. Sail drive transmission. Mechanical rudder
