HR 42 - a contemporary cruising yacht from Hallberg-Rassy that showcases the builder’s expertise combined with the design skills of Germán Frers. The result is a superb cruising yacht with exceptional performance, providing a pleasurable sailing experience and lasting pride of ownership.
BEOWULF is an excellent example of the Hallberg-Rassy 42, currently located on the East Coast of Spain in the picturesque Port of Calpe, where she has a transferrable berth until April 2025. This yacht is perfect for exploring the Balearic Islands and has ample capacity for further cruising adventures.
BEOWULF has been systematically upgraded to offer a comfortable and capable cruising platform, featuring practical and thoughtful enhancements throughout the deck layout and interior accommodations.
The centre-cockpit layout, protected by a windscreen and sprayhood, provides excellent visibility and a sense of safety in any seaway. Moving forward from the cockpit, there are grab handles and 'granny bars' for added security, while her higher bow keeps the decks dry. Deep 'v' sections forward of the keel enable her to cut through larger waves, and she is particularly noted for her heavy weather sailing capabilities.
Two comfortable cabins are complemented by two heads compartments, each featuring a separate shower stall. Standing room is at least 6' throughout, except for the walk-through to the aft cabin, and the cabin sole is uniformly level. All essential areas can be accessed by crew without obstructing others, and sturdy grab handles or fiddles are always available for support.
Whether at sea, anchored, or in a marina, BEOWULF is a comfortable long-distance cruising yacht with a comprehensive inventory.
She is an EU tax paid yacht.

Comments:
HR 42 - a contemporary cruising yacht from Hallberg-Rassy that embodies the builder’s expertise combined with the design skills of Germán Frers. The hull was designed for seaworthiness and to provide good sailing performance, rather than built to a formula or to maximize racing rules. The deck is laid out for functionality rather than appearance, although it looks aesthetically pleasing. The equipment includes typical Hallberg-Rassy solutions along with some innovations that represent real improvements.
