Swobbit® Europe has teamed up with mooring system designer MoorFast® to introduce the Swobbit® MoorFast mooring aid for single- or short-handed crew to distributors at METS 2010. The unique system allows crew to simply thread a rope through a ring or around the bar or cleat and bring it back on board from the safety of the deck for quick, safe and secure mooring.
To use MoorFast, which has a unique claw on the head, aim the claw at the mooring, push and pull back to lock in place. The arm of the head will push through the centre of a mooring ring or cleat and the gate will open. Continue to push until the gate closes. Then, by pulling the MoorFast back it will thread the feeder line through and the warp can be pulled back aboard.
With the addition of MoorFast to the Swobbit® range brings a new accessory for the popular Swobbit® patented Perfect Pole™. The mooring aid incorporates a quick release feature which enables it to be connected to the pole for ease of use.
