Bookings for the Suzuki sponsored RIBEX 2010 are coming in thick and fast. Amongst the array of exhibitors names such as Yamaha, Raymarine, Garmin, Golden Arrow, Icom, Humber, Ribeye, Mermaid Marine, Offshore Powerboats, RYA, Extreme RIBs, Williams Superyacht Tenders, Pennel Industries, Ribcraft and Revenger – are just a few of the blue chip names already booked into this year’s show located once again in the West Cowes Marina.
“I’m delighted to see so many leading names booking exhibition space at our 2010 show”, states RIBEX Show Organiser, Hugo Montgomery-Swan. “In addition, the degree of World or European launches plus first time ‘sees’ taking place at the show is superb. For example, the Slovenian company, VSR Lab, will be making their UK debut at this year’s show, as will the all-new 29 from Norwegian builder, Goldfish; also the Finnish built, Paragon 31 cabin cruiser plus the world’s first commercially available 4-stroke inversion proofed outboard engine will be unveiled at the show. Other new boat models being launched at RIBEX this year include those from Coastline, Williams Superyacht Tenders, Cobra, Mak Marine, Capelli and Renegade RIBs.
With such a healthy crop of international orientated companies choosing RIBEX as the UK show to debut their new models, confidence in the show and its continued growth has clearly never been higher”. Other news includes extreme survivalist, Bear Grylls’ championing of the show, both in terms of officially opening the event as well challenging Hugo Montgomery-Swan to a powerboat ‘dual’ from Portsmouth to the show site on the first morning of the show in a pair of identical Coastline RIBs. This latter RIB company will also be sponsoring the very first, RIBFEST; a special waterside music concert to be staged on the Saturday night of RIBEX featuring folk-rock sensation headliner, Seth Lakeman. Montgomery-Swan concludes by saying; “we are thrilled that RIBEX has attracted both Suzuki and Coastline RIBs as chief sponsors of RIBEX and RIBFEST and are most grateful of their enthusiastic and generous support of what promises to be a really special show”
