With Ocean Signal's rapid international growth as a leading specialist manufacturer of communication and safety at sea products, the company has appointed James Hewitt as its Sales and Marketing Manager for both the UK and overseas markets. James has extensive experience in marine industry electronics having worked with a leading UK electronics manufacturer as Export Sales Manager. His experience also extends to the practical side of yachting, competing in National, European and World Championships in dinghies, keel boats and currently helms a J109 which will be campaigned at major regattas.
On announcing the appointment, Ocean Signal's Managing Director Alan Wrigley commented: "It's great to have James Hewitt on board at this exciting time for Ocean Signal. Having launched our SafeSea(TM) range throughout Europe and USA, we are now delivering extensive product orders to our new distribution chain. It will be James's task to continue that momentum and assist in expanding our distribution internationally in both the leisure and commercial markets. His experience and enthusiasm will help Ocean Signal to develop global brand recognition."
James was equally upbeat about his new role with the company, stating: "The opportunity to be a part of Ocean Signal at such an early and important stage in its growth is certainly very exciting and I relish the challenges that this will undoubtedly bring. Ocean Signal may be a new name in world of EPIRB's, SART's and GMDSS, but the engineers behind the technology have been producing world leading products for many years and I am delighted to be a part of the team."
