'Southerly Gem' is the first of the Southerly 115 Series 4 making the most of the class's continual development since the first Southerly 115 was built. in 1983. Developed with many features to give her a stylish and modern look, the large centre cockpit provides both comfort and safety for the crew. The well proven Rob Humphreys designed swing keel and twin rudders on the Series 4, improved the performance of the 115 and is still able to sail in less than three feet of water. 'Southerly Gem' has been in her current ownership for 12 years and proved to be a comfortable cruiser easily handled by two people.

Accommodation
The accommodation offers 6 berths in two cabins. In fore cabin, V berth at different heights. Opening hatch to foredeck. Hanging locker opposite. In saloon, dinette to port with settee berth opposite. Fixed table with drop leaves. Chart table to starboard with galley opposite. PLastimo Neptune 2000 two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Isotherm top loading refrigerator. Panasonic microwave. Single stainless steel sink. Hot and cold pressurised water system. Separate heads compartment with marine toilet, shower and washbasin. 35 litre holding tank. Walk through to aft cabin. Enlarged double berth to aft with settee to port. Hanging lockers. Mechanical Systems
Yanmar 3JH3E (2003) 40hp, three cylinder, diesel engine connected to stainless steel shaft drive. Three bladed folding propeller. Fresh water cooled via heat exchanger. Single lever Morse controls.
Vetus bow thruster (serviced 2024)
Electrical Systems
Two 12v domestic batteries plus single 12v engine crank battery. Batteries charged from engine alternator. 240v shore power system with Mastervolt battery charger, immersion heater and ring main. Interior lighting.

Built 2003 by Northshore Yachts. Hull number 001 of the Southerly 115 Series 4. White GRP hull and superstructure with teak laid side decks. Wheel steering to twin spade rudders. Swing Keel with min draft of 0.71m and max draft of 2.48m. Self-draining centre cockpit. Teak laid cockpit seats and sugar scoop transom. Antifouled early 2024.
