The Regina af Vindo 38 deck saloon ''Serena'' (in Amsterdam, the Netherlands), is a thoughtfully designed sailing yacht (CE-A) by Carl Beyer. This luxury ship was produced in 2001 by the shipyard where later Malö Yachts, Sweden Yachts and CR-yachts were built.
The Serena is 12.50 meters overall (including bowsprit so that a large genoa can be sailed), has a spacious deckhouse (with standing height everywhere) and large double glass windows. This allows for plenty of light in the saloon and galley, and the ship can be steered from the saloon. Ideal for boating in winter or on trips where the weather is not good.
Actually, the R38 is the most beautiful design in the Regina series; the designer wanted to realize the ''Rolls Royce of the seas''. The R38 Serena is a solidly Swedish-built quality yacht with an elongated fin keel and a skeg for the rudder, which results in very comfortable sailing characteristics. In addition to the large genoa, the R38 Serena is equipped with a high-aspect tacking jib, with which she sails very well upwind.
The ship has had a complete refit in recent years where the rigging has been renewed, cupper coat has been applied and several equipment has been updated such as a new autopilot, new radar, new plotter inside + outside, etc. A new engine was also installed in 2016.
The Serena has a spacious cabin in the front and a large comfortable owner's cabin over the entire width of the ship in the back with a comfortable mattress. The R38 has an ideal galley amidships with a beautiful corian counter top, two refrigerators, double sink and plenty of storage space. The best thing is the round seat in the salon, with a 360-degree view outside at all times, including while sailing. The R38 has a very sheltered safe cockpit.
