Delivered and commissioned in 2015, Aurous is a commercially coded (MCA Cat 2) and professionally maintained/operated high specification example of the extremely popular Prevost & Nauta designed Lagoon 52 Flybridge, with diamond-shaped vertical bows, contemporary styled hulls and a levitated hardtop with flybridge and stands out from the crowd.
Aurous is spacious with different relaxing areas around the deck; cushions on the foredeck, sunbathing area on the flybridge and the dining area and aft sofa in the cockpit there is room for the whole family spread out. The boat is accessed via open aft transoms, facilitating boarding and disembarking. The boat enjoys broad side decks, with recessed deck hatches. The cockpit is level with the saloon and has an outdoor lounge and sun-lounging area to starboard. The fly bridge is reached either by a staircase leading from the cockpit, or by another leading from the deck on the starboard side.
All ropes and controls are located on the flybridge, away from the living areas. She is also fitted with all the extras; a generator, air- conditioning, a water-maker, TV's, DVD player & bluetooth stereo in the saloon are all included.
Inside she has the galley up across from the sofa/interior dining area. Aurous can accommodate up to 10 guests across 5 cabins with the large owners cabin, double in the starboard hull and the port hull has a bunk and 2 double cabins, all with ensuite. Crew berths can be found in the forepeak with a head. The cabins have incomparable natural lighting thanks to the fixed hull windows, together with excellent ventilation, thanks to the deck hatches and portholes that open out to the hull-side or to the cockpit.
The Lagoon 52 is part of a major evolutionary step for this well-established company. A new desire for speed with easy handling has brought a dramatic design change while retaining the builder’s familiar overall look. It’s easy to imagine cruising the islands in style aboard this boat and experiencing some great sailing while doing it.
