Owners Notes
Note from the Owner
I purchased Branta in 2020 and have cruised her on the upper Thames to Oxford and the Tideway to St Katherines Dock. Branta handles well, even in close quarters. She is ballasted and stable. Her engine has plenty of thrust and the large rudder turns her easily.
Branta has a quality pedigree from the design and cut steel plates by Euroship Services BV in the Netherlands through to construction by Sirius Yachts and fit out by Sirius Marine Services.. All paperwork and certificates are provided.
She is safe, with hull penetrations minimized. In fact, the only penetrations being the main prop shaft fitted with a spare ceramic seal on the shaft, and the secondary sewage tank pump out fitted with safety diaphragm (intact).
There is no gas onboard, and cooking is all electric with induction hobs and electric oven. A 7kw generator allows full use of these when the shore line is not available.
The deck has a full walk round, step free access, with high upstands and full handrails giving confidence to move fore and aft even in a seaway.
Branta has flexible accommodation and a sociable layout. The saloon table can seat 6, or more, and the large galley is adjacent so no up and down stairs to serve food. The table can, however be relocated to the cockpit in summer,
The flexible cockpit canopy is in several removable panels to allow full protection or various stages of partial protection or complete folding.
The main cabin has a King Size bed with a comfortable mattress and good size en-suite bathroom. I find the snug/TV room/office convertible to private cabin with queen size bed and door really useful, especially with a second bathroom with shower whilst full saloon seating is still maintained for eating.
Branta constantly receives compliments from passing boat owners and lock keepers alike.
