Our Swift Trawler 42 “Olive” not only is well maintained and in excellent condition but has all the features to make life on board a relaxing stress free experience. Having both bow and stern thrusters even the tightest marina or small anchorage is easily negotiated.
The reliable Yanmar 200HP engines offer the perfect balance of power and fuel efficiency. Once underway she provides a stable and comfortable ride. She has all the usual ST42 navigation and engine instruments and the modern Raymarine Axiom 9 chart plotter at the lower helm also provides a WiFi link to other IPads/tablets which themselves become independent plotters for use anywhere on the boat.
Drawing just 1.05m the ST42 can explore even the shallowest anchorages, marinas and town quays throughout the beautiful calm Ionian Islands. We have put much thought into upgrading the ground tackle and have installed a new more powerful 1500W Lofrans windlass (with 2 handheld remote control units), new Lewmar 10mm calibrated anchor chain(90m) and a new Rocna Vulcan 25kg anchor (which has never let us down).
The new powerful solar installation is providing charge to both domestic and engine battery banks (via an MPPT regulator with performance monitoring displays). When on anchor for extended periods the Paguro 4000 generator will quietly heat your water via the calorifier.
The Ionian is a perfect base for this boat, island hop, anchor, pop into a Marina or reverse onto a quaint town quay. This boat then becomes a very comfortable living space with a large light interior and a fantastic bow sunbathing area having custom made cushions and a removable sunshade but as the sun sets move up to the spacious fly bridge with friends and a glass of wine and enjoy from your elevated position the local town come alive.
