Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean” (or Cat B – whichever is appropriate)

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• The hull and deck built according to CE certification and as per standard Beneteau specifications at the time.
• Monolithic hull in GRP polyester.
• Monolithic structural hull liner laminated and bonded to the hull.
• Deck in balsa and glass fibre sandwich.
• Teak laid side decks, cockpit sole and seating.
• Deck hull joint bonded and screwed, with 1 solid wood toe rail.
• Swim platform at stern with swim ladder.
• White painted hull topsides.

Keel & Rudder:

• The bolt-on keel is of cast iron.
• Twin rudders with s/s shaft.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• 1 x Yanmar 4JHTCE 75 hp (55,2 Kw) diesel engine.
• Sail drive.
• Three blade propeller.

Propulsion & Steering:

• Twin helm stations with Goiot wheel and steering.
• Seat with backrest at each helm position.
• Starboard Helm:
  1. ZF engine controls outboard.
  2. On the pedestal are: ZF joystick control; MaxPower bow thruster control; Olympic 135 Compass; Quick chain counter. Raymarine ST70 autopilot control; Raymarine MFD unit.
• Port Helm:
  1. Shore power socket inlets outboard.
  2. On pedestal are: an Olympic 135 compass; Raymarine touch MFD; Raymarine E90 screen/plotter/GPS.
• Dock & Go was developed by Beneteau in conjunction with Yanmar and ZF Marine. It employs a powerful bow thruster, autopilot, and rotating sail-drive that are linked together by a software interface to allow pinpoint, close-quarters control by means of a simple joystick.

Electrical Systems

Voltage Systems:

• 12v and 220v circuits.

Battery Banks:

• 2 x 140 Ah batteries for service.
• 1 x 110 Ah battery for engine start.
• 1 x 12v battery for generator start.
• All working batteries new 2017 plus 2 additional batteries.

Plumbing Systems

• Deck wash pump.

Fresh Water & Water Heating System:

• Pressure water system with expansion tank.
• Hot water tank, 40 litres (heated via engine or 220v).

Bilge Pumps:

• Manual bilge pump operated from cockpit starboard side.
• Two electric bilge pumps and one manual.

Tankage

Fuel:

• 830 litres (220 gallons).
• 415 litres in each of two tanks in saloon (optional second fuel tank) giving a total of 930 litres.

Fresh Water:

• 930 litres (198 gallons).
• Two tanks, one of 200 l in saloon and another of 330 litres under forward bed, plus extra optional tanks, giving a total of 830 litres.
• Fixed inlet at stern for water.

Grey/Blackwater Holding Tanks:

• Two black water tanks 80 litres, located at each head area.

Gas:

• Storage locker at cockpit with gas bottle, regulator, and security key. Piping to the cooker.

Navigation Equipment

• Raymarine ST70 Auto Pilot.
• Full AIS System.
• Radar and reflector.

Accommodation

Description of layout from forwards:

• The forward cabin has a double bed, reading lamps by the bed, and two drawers under the bed.
• 2 side windows with curtains and 2 overhead hatches flood the cabin in light.
• 4 lockers outboard of the bed (2 each side, fore and aft of the window); hanging locker to portside plus a small locker.
• To starboard a further locker with shelves.
• Air conditioning controls/outlet portside.
• A door leads to the ensuite bathroom to starboard with a head and shower.
• Jabsco electric quiet flush toilet. Hand washbasin with locker over and mirror.
• Stand-up shower cubicle with Perspex folding door.
• 2 x overhead hatches with screens.
• Holding tank in the outboard locker.
• A door aft leads to the passageway with a door port to the Guest cabin.
• This has a double bed.
• There are 2 overhead hatches with OceanAir screens and a hull window, so plenty of natural light.
• 2 lockers on the hull and a hanging locker with shelves.
• Reading lamps.
• Door aft from the cabin direct to the guest head and shower area, which may also be accessed via a door from the passage.
• The guest head and shower are fitted with a hand washbasin; lockers; a mirror; Jabsco electric toilet; shower cubicle with folding Perspex doors.
• There is an overhead hatch for ventilation (fitted with an OceanAir screen), and a hull window with a curtain.
• A sliding door from the passage to starboard takes you to the office/cabin where there is a desk unit and stool, drawers, and storage.
• Cushions on board can be used to convert the desk into a single or double berth.
• There is an overhead hatch and two hull windows with curtains.
• Going aft and up a step brings you to the saloon, with the galley to starboard.
• The saloon hosts a central unit for stowage and the television.
• U shaped sofa to port with dining table.
• The table will raise and lower electrically.
• The central unit houses the TV that raises and lowers electrically.
• There is also a fold down extra seat to enable extra seating at the table.
• Lockers to port outboard.
• Hull windows each side with curtains.
• Two overhead hatches with screens.
• The coach roof windows have electric blinds.
• Galley – along the starboard side with sinks, cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, good stowage spaces.
• Opening windows to side and aft.
• The chart table faces aft from the saloon with the electric panel and instruments.
• Three steps from there take you up to the cockpit.

Note: There is a large locker on port side, which is shown on plans by builder as an optional crew cabin and it does have a bed … but …)

Deck Equipment

Rig:

• Genoa tracks inboard on side decks.
• Selden Anodised aluminium spars.
• Deck stepped mast.
• With two sets of swept back spreaders.
• Stainless steel wire standing rigging.
• New lower shrouds, new 2017.
• Inner forestay to fit self-tacking jib. Reinforced deck fitting, new 2017.
• Furling unit for genoa – manual - line leads aft to port of cockpit.
• Pole, new 2017 – Spi. pole /jockey pole for downwind sailing with genoa.
• Selden “Rodkicker” vang.
• Complete running rigging.

Winches (Harken Electric):

• 2 x 60 2-speed self-tailing – aft - for sheets.
• 2 x 46 2-speed self-tailing – forward – for all controls.
• Set of 6 stoppers each side feeding to the forward winches.

Sails:

• All sails are original (from 2011, by Incidence sails) – the mainsail and genoa are Dacron.
• Gennaker and code zero are also from 2011 and Incidence.
• The code zero is on a Selden endless furler.
• The gennaker has a dousing sleeve.
• The self-tacking jib is new from 2017, can be mounted on the second forestay and is on an endless furler from Selden. It is from Quantum Sails and the material is Dacron.
• All equipment for the self-tacking jib (jib track, front mount behind the anchor locker, lines, Dyneema halyard etc. were installed 2017).

General:

• Generous cockpit with two tables and seating for 8.
• Stainless steel arch over stern supporting Solar panels.
• Stainless steel frame for Bimini that extends over all the cockpit and can join to the GRP arch over the companionway.
• Stainless steel pushpit, stanchions and pulpit with guard-wires and netting.
• Opening gates port and starboard.
• Teak cockpit table on starboard side of cockpit, with electrical up/down system.
• Plastic cockpit table with fold up leaves and fixed stainless-steel base and support.
• Large locker on port side (is shown on plans by builder as an optional crew cabin and does have a bed … but …).
• Cockpit locker also on starboard side of the cockpit.
• Gas locker located aft.
• Electric sliding companionway entrance.
