Marketing Description

'Spirit of Zoya' is a safe and capable cruising yacht built in Finland and fitted out by Lito Marin of Finland in 1997. The vessel has been in the same ownership since 2008 and has enjoyed trips to the northern Isles, the Netherlands and the West Coast of Scotland. With berths for 6 she is an ideal family cruiser but is equally appealing as a couples boat. With all the lines led aft and her current sail plan, she is a joy to sail short handed. Although a very quick boat she has never been raced. Well maintained inboard Nanni diesel, in mast furling mainsail, inner and outer roller furling headsails and a comprehensive electronic navigation package, If you are looking for a genuine blue water cruiser then 'Spirit of Zoya' should be on your list.

Mechanical

Vessel is powered by a reliable and economical Nanni 4220 inboard diesel engine. This 43hp, 4 cylinder workhorse has been regularly maintained by her present owner. The engine is a located beneath the companionway steps allowing full access for servicing and daily checks. Engine start panel mounted in cockpit coaming with protective Perspex screen. Full engine instrumentation including rev counter fuel gauge and both visual and audible warnings for high temperature, oil pressure and charging.
reduction gearbox driving a stainless steel shaft and 3-bladed Max Prop. New anodes fitted in July 2024. Under engine the vessel will motor all day at 5.5 knots burning 1/2 a gallon per hour. Top speed is a none to shabby 7.5 knots if required.

Electrical

Bank of 3x12V batteries fitted with isolators. These are located beneath the chart table seat making them very accessible should they need changing. Dedicated engine start, anchor windlass and domestic batteries. The batteries are recharged via the engine alternator, on board battery charger or via the solar panel. There is a shore power cable and RCD breaker.
Illuminated 12V panel at chart table.

Rigging

Masthead rig with keel stepped Selden spars with in-mast furling main, roller furling genoa and roller furling inner jib. The mast and all standing and running rigging were replaced in 2015. All lines are lid aft to the helm making short handed sailing very comfortable indeed. Twin backstays with tensioners. Shrouds are slightly inboard making access forward safe and unhindered. 8 off Anderson 2-speed, self tailing winches. Rigid boom vang.
