Fundraising during TheYachtMarket.com Southampton boat show 2018

We are writing to thank TheYachtMarket for the funds we received last week which was raised during the Boat Show in September.

In recent years we have seen a steep increase in the number of families referred to us where the prognosis is terminal. Many of these families ask us to arrange one last holiday to create memories for the children and to thank them for taking on many caring duties to keep the household going.

The £1,000 donation we have received will enable us to help one of these special families to have a break in the coming months. The circumstances of this particular family is very sad as the mother is in her early thirties with three young children and was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago. The cancer has metastasised to her liver and is now incurable. The family will be going on an all-inclusive resort break to give them the chance to make memories and get away from the constant stress at home. 

We can’t thank you enough for your support, please know that it will make a real difference to the lives of this lovely family.
