Westerly Fulmar 32
This bilge keel fractional sloop features a single diesel Bukh 20HP shaft drive engine and is steered by an aft cockpit tiller. The vessel includes a new spray hood and new sails. It accommodates 6 berths, with a separate forward owner cabin, a double berth port aft, and 2 berths in the saloon. Designed by Ed Dubois and built by Westerly Marine in 1982, this iconic Westerly Fulmar is a solid construction cruiser sailing boat. The vessel is currently located at Ipswich Beacon Marina and is equipped with a Chartplotter, Radar, depth log, Autopilot, Speed log, VHF, and a stack pack with lazyjacks along with new sails.

Construction
Built to Lloyds HCC standards, the vessel features a white GRP hull, deck, coachroof, and self-draining cockpit with blue styling lines on the hull. The cockpit seats are laid with Tekdek. It has a teak rubbing strake and toe rail, with light blue painted non-skid areas on the deck. The interior joinery is made of teak and teak-faced marine ply, with laminate work surfaces in the galley area. The headlinings have been recently replaced. The aft cockpit is self-draining, and it has cast iron bolt-on bilge keels. The semi-balanced spade rudder is equipped with tiller steering.
Mechanics
The vessel is powered by a Bukh DV20ME twin-cylinder 20hp diesel engine with raw water cooling. It is flexibly mounted and has direct drive to a two-blade fixed pitch 3-bladed propeller via a mechanical reduction gearbox with reverse. It features single lever controls and electric starting. The cruising speed is 6 knots, with a maximum speed of approximately 6.5 knots.
Electrics
The 12-volt system includes 3 x 12-volt batteries (engine start and 2 x service) charged by the engine alternator and a 220v battery charger. It has interior lighting and standard navigation lights, including port, starboard, stern, steaming, tricolour, and anchor light. The mains system consists of a 220-volt mains system with 2 x 220v outlets and a battery charger.
Sails
The sails include a mainsail, Crusader Sails No.1 Genoa, Arun sail, No.2 Genoa, cruising chute, Jeckells stackpack sail cover, and lazyjacks.
Rigging
This fractional Bermudan sloop features a Kemp deck-stepped silver alloy mast and slab reefing boom with stackpack and lazyjacks. It includes a spinnaker pole and headsail furling system. The standing rigging is made of 1 x 19 stainless steel wire, while the running rigging is Terylene, with controls including reef lines led aft to the cockpit and a spinnaker halyard.
Accommodations
The vessel offers 6 berths, with a forward cabin featuring a V berth, fore hatch, and infill to form a double berth. The heads are located to port and include a manually operated sea WC, washbasin, hot and cold water, and good stowage. There are hanging lockers opposite to starboard. The saloon has settee berths on each side and a folding leaf table. The galley is located to starboard and includes a stainless steel sink with hot and cold water, a manual fresh water foot pump with an Aquafilter, a cool box with a refrigeration unit, and a Plastimo Neptune 2000 gimballed gas cooker (with crash bar) along with good stowage. A large chart table is located to port with a navigator's seat and a wide single/narrow double quarter berth.
