Inside, the Van de Stadt 40ft Norman Cruiser offers a comfortable living space with a standing height of approximately 1.95 meters. The layout accommodates 4 fixed berths, divided between a forward cabin and a lockable aft cabin, both equipped with a double bed. In the salon, two additional berths can be created, bringing the total to 6.
The galley is fully equipped with a gas stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and sink with hot and cold running water. The wet cell features a manual toilet, sink, and shower, connected to an 80-liter waste tank. For comfort on warm days, there is an Aftron air conditioning system with a capacity of 15,200 BTU/h.
Engine and Technical Equipment
Propulsion is provided by a Solé Diesel Mini-55 inboard engine with a power of 50 hp. The engine has only 213 running hours and is electrically started. At a cruising speed of approximately 12 km/h (6.5 knots), fuel consumption is around 3.6 liters per hour. The fuel tank has a capacity of 200 liters, offering sufficient range for longer trips.
The electrical installation consists of two batteries with a total capacity of 300 Ah, powered via an alternator, battery charger, and shore power connection. Navigation instruments on board include a GPS, chart plotter, depth meter, wind meter, compass, and VHF radio. A battery monitor is also present to monitor the power supply.
Sailing Equipment
The sail plan consists of a (2025) Doyle Dacron mainsail and a furling genoa, both mounted on an aluminum mast. The rigging was also renewed in 2025. The mainsail is equipped with a three-reef system, while the genoa features a furling system, making the sail area easily adjustable to weather conditions. This configuration makes the ship suitable for both solo sailors and crewed trips.
Exterior Equipment and Deck
On deck, the Van de Stadt 40ft Norman Cruiser is equipped with an electric anchor winch with chain, a swim ladder, guardrails, fenders, and lines. The cockpit is fitted with comfortable outdoor cushions and a foldable cockpit table, making the stay on deck pleasant. The spacious cockpit offers ample seating for crew and guests.
Safety Features
The safety equipment on board meets international standards for both private and commercial use. It includes life jackets, a lifebuoy, signal flares, fire extinguishers, a first aid kit, electric and manual bilge pumps, emergency lighting, and an emergency ladder.

The boat is registered in Dubai and comes with all necessary maritime documents, including a seaworthiness certificate and a commercial license. Upon sale, all original documents are provided, along with various spare parts, kitchenware, navigation aids, and safety equipment.
