History of Sea Pro

Sea Pro Boats was founded in 1987 by Jimmy Hancock and Tommy Hancock in Whitmire, South Carolina. The company quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality, affordable fishing boats that were designed to meet the needs of serious anglers and recreational boaters alike. Using top-notch materials and craftsmanship, Sea Pro set itself apart in the marine industry through a commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. The original run of Sea Pro Boats continued successfully until 2004, when the brand was sold to Brunswick Corporation. Under Brunswick's ownership, the production of Sea Pro Boats was eventually discontinued in 2008, much to the disappointment of its loyal customer base. However, recognising the strong legacy and demand for these boats, Jimmy Hancock decided to relaunch the brand in 2015. Alongside a team of experienced marine industry veterans, Hancock revitalized Sea Pro with modern design and technology while maintaining the brand's core principles of quality and affordability.Today, Sea Pro is based in Winnsboro, South Carolina, where the company's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility continues to produce a range of boats tailored for both saltwater and freshwater fishing. The new generation of Sea Pro Boats features advanced materials and construction techniques that ensure durability, performance, and customer satisfaction, cementing their status as a prominent name in the boating industry.
