Established in 1965 in Kent, Newbridge Boats quickly earned a stellar reputation as a leading manufacturer of yachts and motorboats. Founded by John and Brenda Fisk, the company started by producing the mouldings for the iconic Corribee 21 model at their modest factory in Newbridge, Kent. Over the following decades, Newbridge established itself as a major player in the UK's boating industry, continuously innovating and introducing new designs that charmed boating enthusiasts across the globe.
In the 70s and 80s, Newbridge Boats shifted its operations to larger facilities in Bristol, also in the UK, reflecting the rapid growth and expansion of the company. It was during this time that Newbridge ventured into the construction of larger cruisers, culminating in the illustrious Virgo Voyager. The late 80s also saw the introduction of the renowned Newbridge Navigator, a craft that survived the test of time and remains a classic till today.
Today, Newbridge Boats still operates from its base in Bristol, continually upholding the tradition of quality, durability, and innovation that characterised the brand since its inception. Although there have been changes in ownership, Newbridge Boats has never wavered from John and Brenda Fisk's original vision: to produce beautifully designed, robustly constructed boats that offer excellent sailing performance and comfort.
