About this Nauticat 36

Boat Details

Polar Bear II is a much loved Nauticat 36. She is a  mast-head, sloop rigged example. More efficient than the ketch rig as she benefits from longer sail luff lengths giving better windward performance and of course only one mast to attend to. In addition the cockpit remains uncluttered without the paraphernalia of a mizzen getting in the way.

This model is highly rated as a classic motor sailor with a comfortable motion, easily handled by a small crew. A very nice long distance, live-aboard cruising boat, be it offshore sailing or coastal cruising. She offers excellent liveaboard for extended period living, enjoying. 6 berths in 3 cabins plus wheel house.

In summary, a Saloon, wheelhouse/sun room, Double aft cabin, Double berth forepeak, a Saloon than converts into a double and 2 heads - almost a sea side cottage

As one would expect of her age, her external teak needs TLC and must be maintained but easy for those with the right aptitude.
