The LM 27 was built from 1972 to 1985 in a Danish shipyard, LM Yachting, in Lunderskov specifically for sailing in the Baltic Sea.

The designer of the boat, which was designed as a long keel, was Palle Mortensen.

LM later produced the relatively powerful motorized pointed creel with the same concept in other sizes: LM 23, LM 24, LM 27, LM 28, LM 30 LM 32.

The LM are characterized by a covered driver's cab with standing height, in which the galley is also housed. This made LM one of the pioneers of deck saloon yachts produced today.

Die LM 27 wurde von 1972 bis 1985 in einer dänischen Werft, LM Yachting, in Lunderskov speziell zum Segeln in der Ostsee gebaut.

Konstrukteur des als Langkieler konzipierten Bootes war Palle Mortensen.

LM stellte den verhältnismäßig stark motorisierten Spitzgatter mit gleichem Konzept später auch in weiteren Größen her: LM 23, LM 24, LM 27, LM 28, LM 30 LM 32.

Die LM zeichnen sich durch einen eingedeckten Fahrerstand mit Stehhöhe aus, in dem auch die Pantry untergebracht ist. Damit war LM einer der Vorreiter der heute hergestellten Deckssalonjachten.
