The Hunter Horizon 26 has a great reputation as a versatile small family cruiser. The twin keels allow for drying moorings while still giving stimulating sailing performance. The accommodation is bigger than you might expect for a 26 footer with a comfortable saloon, aft double cabin, galley, chart table and separate head. "Selene" was home completed by the first and only previous owner to a high standard. The current owners have invested in re-upholstering some of the cabin and cockpit cushions, replacing the Lazy Jack bag, spray hoods and dodgers.
Construction:
GRP construction with twin keels (draft 1.00m) and transom hung rudder and tiller steering.
Mechanicals:
Yanmar 1GM10 - 9hp inboard diesel with shaft driven 2 blade fixed propeller. Bank of 2 batteries supply engine start and service power. Charging is via the engine and a shore power battery charger. Eberspacher cabin heating fitted.
Rigging and Sails:
Fractional Bermudan Sloop with deck stepped alloy mast and spars and stainless wire standing rigging. Slab reefing Mainsail with Lazy Jack bag (new in 2023), roller furling foresails.

Accommodation:
Bigger than you might expect below decks, the Hunter 26 can sleep 6 with an aft double cabin and 4 berths in the open plan saloon and V berth. The V berth can be extended with use of the fold up seat backrest. Galley with gas oven and hob, sink with cold water, ice box and storage to starboard. Head compartment with sea toilet and wash basin, chart table with electronics to port. Central dining table with folding leaves.
