'Mischief III' is a breathtaking 1935 sailing yacht boat in absolutely perfect ‘as new’ condition, comments supported by her flawless March 2024 survey. This sailing yacht is for sale with Vivid Blue Marine.
Her builder, A.W. Clemens built to a design by Dr. T. Harrison-Butler (sail insignia HB) and is classed as a ‘Yonne’ class long keel cutter.
This Bermudan cutter rigged sloop was built in Old Portsmouth during 1935 of carvel planked pitch-pine on oak frames.. In 2012 she was the subject of a 100% restoration of such quality that she was adjudged - Winner Classic Boat Magazine ‘Restoration of the Year Award 2012’.
The high quality work and finish of this restoration is clearly evident when one views this glorious vessel. Exquisite, well-maintained surfaces, equipment and structure, deep lustre varnish work and hand fashioned timber such as the cockpit table and other boat fittings. The workmanship on display is superb and key so by the current owner’s annual cosmetic refit programme.
To add to the standard of equipment the owner has had built in a modern sea head, galley, built-in fridge and a retractable binnacle for the Garmin chart plotter.
Her layout provides four berths and she is powered by a a Beta B2482 13.5HP diesel engine.
