The Hardy 27 is a sturdily built and highly practical cruiser from the renowned Hardy yard, they are a very versatile and sea-capable design. They are well suited to coastal cruising or exploring inland waterways. "Nobby"' is fitted with twin 100hp Yanmar engines on shaft drives. She is presented in very good condition for her age. Mechanical & Electrical Systems

Located under the wheelhouse sole, are the twin Yanmar 4JH2/UTE 4-cylinder 100hp turbo diesel engines. Fresh water cooled. Dual Morse type single lever controls with electric start. Shaft drives with rope cutters to fixed 3-bladed propellers. PSS stern glands. Trim tabs. The engines have been regularly serviced. Approximately 455 litre fuel tank. 1851 hours on the port engine and 1831 hours on the starboard engine (likely to go up as the boat is still being used). Hours are slightly different as the port engine charges the batteries and heats up the water. Wheelhouse furniture can be completely removed for full access to the engine bay.

12 volt domestic battery (2021). Two 12 volt engine start batteries (2020 & 2023). 12 volt anchor windlass battery. Alternator charging. 240 volt shorepower system with outlets. Battery charger. Immersion heater.

Offering up to 4 berths in the cabin and wheelhouse with 6' 3" maximum headroom. Up forward there is a wrap-around seating area with a central teak table that drops to form a large double berth, useful storage areas, portlights, and an opening hatch. The linear galley is to starboard, which is equipped with a 2-burner gas cooker with grill and oven, stainless steel sink with hot and cold water supply, fridge, and storage lockers.

The separate heads compartment is to port with a Jabsco marine toilet, 100 litre holding tank, washbasin, shower, mirror, and storage. Moving up into the wheelhouse, you have a swivelling helm seat and aft seat to port, and a larger settee to starboard. Excellent levels of ventilation and light are provided by the wheelhouse windows, bi-fold doors, and large sliding roof hatch. High-quality teak interior joinery with blue upholstery and teak and holly sole boards.

There are twin teak bi-fold wheelhouse doors open onto the self-draining aft cockpit with full canopy, L-shaped seating, and a walk-thru transom to the moulded bathing platform. Ample grab rails are provided with good side deck access.
