The Gemini 105MC is a versatile cruising catamaran. A popular choice for sailors seeking a balance between performance and comfort. Also known for their ability to fit in standard monohull slips, this catamaran offers many advantages over larger models.
She offers the inherent stability of a catamaran, providing a comfortable and safe sailing experience, as well as easy handling and maneuverability. Overall, a surprisingly quick and efficient hull design which is able to handle larger seas.
The boat spent about half its life in fresh water on Lake Ontario, used only seasonally, and the other half on Bras D’or Lake in Cape Breton, NS, also used only seasonally.
Re-powered last summer with a 2023 Mercury Pro Kicker XL shaft 15 hp that’s mounted to a Bob’s KickerJac hydraulic lift (40hp max rated) making her 500 lbs lighter which significantly improved performance.
Also added were four 12.8V 100Ah lithium batteries, 8 Renogy Black Division 100W solar panels that can be placed out on the deck and connected to wires that come up to a box in the cockpit (easy to use, easy to stow, lightweight), and 4 Victron 150/35 solar controllers. There is a 2021 400W Q Cell solar panel that’s mounted on the dinghy davit and has a custom adjustable mount allowing it to tilt fore and aft and a 2021 2500W ProMariner inverter/charger.
Recently installed Oceanbroad 3M EVA foam decking in the cockpit.
Sails are in very good shape (Mack stack pack main, roller furling Genoa, screecher, asymmetrical spinnaker).
Replaced Raymarine autopilot compass and with a top-of-the-line Simrad compass (2022).
Highfield 290 dinghy with 6 hp Yamaha fits conveniently on dinghy davits.
