Extra Large Carbon Rig

Full refit - 2017

This is the best and most equipped Corsair 970 Carbon-XL trimaran on the market.

This Corsair 970 Carbon-XL trimaran underwent a full all-round refit and upgrade in 2017 by owner: new taller 48’ rotating carbon mast (and carbon boom) by Axxon, new North 3DI sails, top of the line rigging, furlers and deck gear, aft 2.5 mt wide traveler on carbon structure. All control lines leading aft to the spacious cockpit for ease of sail handling, with two wide cockpit seats providing great field of vision for safe and improved steering.

Below decks, a double forward cabin with full head including shower, a large salon and a double aft cabin. The Corsair 970 has full standing headroom, and the main cabin has been improved with a custom-made chart table, additional storage shelves and a refrigerator. Easy to trailer, beach and sail, this folding trimaran is the perfect boat to race or to sail away for weeks, months, and to live aboard.

Owner's comments:

Following our upgrade to a 42’ Performance Catamaran, this Corsair 970 Carbon-XL trimaran that we have greatly improved and perfectly maintained is now for sale.

From her freshwater homeport of Castiglione del Lago (Lake Trasimeno in Umbria, Italy), thanks to her exclusive and practical folding system, we have easily trailered her to many ports in the Mediterranean for month-long cruises (and the German Harbeck aluminum trailer is included).
