Founded in 1972, Compromis is a respected boat manufacturer originally based in Holland. From the offset, the company made a name for itself by producing high-quality, durable and safe sailing boats. Compromis's legacy began in earnest with their early models: the Compromis 777, 888, and 999. These were highly sought after due to their robust construction, excellent sailing performance, and attention to detail.
In the progressing years, Compromis grew as a brand and continued to impress with its range of larger models designed for extended sailing adventures. Notable examples include the Compromis 34 and 39 which gained much admiration among sailing enthusiasts for their designing ingenuity. Across all models, the brand remained consistent in delivering well-built, enduring and comfortable crafts offering notable performance and handling.
In the early 2000s, Compromis was acquired by Zaadnoordijk Yachtbuilders, merging with the established C-Yacht brand. The acquisition resulted in a move to Heereveen, the Netherlands. Despite the change in ownership, Compromis continues to maintain its reputation for quality and innovation. Today, it's under the umbrella of C-Yacht, Compromis sailing boats remain respected in the sailing community, a true testament to their nearly half a century uninterrupted commitment to manufacturing excellence.
