Beautiful and well-maintained Clipper 40 (38 AC.) This is a classic trawler, with high quality and finish both on the interior and exterior.
Here you cruise away at 6 knots with only 1,300 rpms, with a consumption of just 1 liter per nautical mile or 6 liters per hour if you like. It doesn't get much better than that.
Operating expenses are also low with a single motor installation and straight axle.
The boat is superb for autumn/winter usage with an Eberspacher 5.5kw diesel heater, a Kohler 6.5kw generator, and an 8kw heater powered by the engine.
SPECIFICATIONS
The Clipper 38 AC is built on the same hull as the Clipper 40 AC and is therefore very spacious. The lounge is open with large windows that provide plenty of light. The helm position is on the starboard side by the stairs the galley. In the helm position, there is an exit/door out to the starboard side deck. It provides very good control and overview when maneuvering in port.
There is a forward cabin with its own toilet, and a huge aft cabin with its own bathroom. There is plenty of storage space in the saloon and cabins, and there is a separate chart table with two barstools on the port side of the saloon where you have a good overview.
Instruments and engine
Access to the engine compartment is easy from the salon via large door panels that are lifted up.
On the Flybridge there is a great and very clear helm position as well as benches with cushions for good relaxation after a long day en route. In addition, there is an upper deck above the aft cabin with space for a nice seating area.
On the aft deck there is a hatch to a large storage room and a ladder down to the swim platform.
A 335 watt solar panel has recently been installed on top of the davits which works excellently for running the fridge and charging the lithium and agm batteries.
In addition to start (agm) and service batteries (lithium), there are separate batteries for the bow thruster, anchor windlass and generator.
