The Beneteau First 24 has always been popular as a first big boat with agile sailing performance, lift keel and practical accommodation including a separate aft double cabin and head compartment. Currently stored ashore, "Mardi Gras" is in need of a some TLC but will make a satisfying prospect for the right buyer. Sale includes the twin axle yard trailer.

Construction

GRP construction with Swing keel (0.68m to 1.60m draft), transom hung rudder with tiller steering.

Mechanicals

Powered by a 6hp Tohatsu outboard (2020) in a well. A single 12V battery provides electrical power.

Rigging and Sails

Burmudan Sloop with deck stepped alloy mast and spars, stainless wire standing rigging. Slab reefing Mainsail with Lazy Jack bag and roller furling Genoa. Conventional Spinnaker with pole.

Accommodation

The First 24 can sleep 4 to 5 with fore and aft double berths and a single saloon settee / berth. The galley has a 2 burner alcohol  hob, Sink (requires plumbing) and storage. Central, folding leaf table with keel winding mechanism. Head compartment with chemical head.
