Aloa Marine, a famed boat manufacturing company, was founded in 1965 in France. The company was known for designing and constructing highly durable and reliable sailing boats. Their initial production was primarily focused on monohull motor sailers. They beautifully blended the style of classic, traditional sailboats with the demands of modern-day sailing, which made their boats highly sought after. Many Aloa boats are still sailing today, a testament to their robust manufacturing and high-quality materials used.
In the 1980s, under the leadership of Jean-Marie Finot, a renowned naval architect, Aloa Marine introduced a series of monohull sailing yachts, with the Aloa 27 and Aloa 29 becoming some of their most celebrated models. The company's yachts were known for their spacious and comfortable interiors, long-range cruising capacities, and excellent performance in various sea conditions.
As of now, the Aloa brand is no longer in independent operation, following its acquisition by the Dufour Group in the late 1980s. Despite the change of hands, Aloa's legacy in the boat manufacturing industry continues under Dufour's banner. Dufour is also based in France and is renowned for manufacturing a broad range of sailing boats, hence carrying on the renowned craftsmanship and high sailing performance that Aloa exemplified. Aloa's extensive history and Dufour's expertise can assure their patrons' continuation of high-quality, performance-driven boats.
