Her wide sidedecks make mast access straightforward, even in heavy weather circumstances. Her standing rigging was \'over engineered\', designed to withstand the toughest of conditions with much redundant capacity built in. This standing rigging was completely renewed in 2024 by FKG Marine, St Maarten.\nTyrian is a cutter rigged ketch which allows for a very wide range of sail plan options. There is a demountable bow sprit and whisker pole for down wind sails (spinnaker on board), a furler drum on the forestay (with yankee and genoa no. 3 sails to suit), an inner forestay for hank-on sails (with 2 different stay sail sizes on board), a main sail (3 reefs), a mizzen sail , a mizzen stay sail and a storm jib with it\'s own dedicated halyard and hoisting system.\nWith 8 tons of ballast and a long keel, she is extremely sea kindly and comfortable both understail and at anchor.\nFor motoring, she has a 4 blade 24inch Maxi prop feathering propellor which is powered by a low revolution 80hp Ford New Holland engine (supplied and installed by Lancing Marine).\nShe has a hydrovane fitted for sailing without the need for power. This provides a secondary rudder option too. She also has a B&G T3 Ram autopilot fitted complete with NEC 3 autopilot computer, rudder feedback system (installed 2023).\nAT ANCHOR\nTyrian benefits from a very robust anchoring system designed for serious hold in heavy weather. She has approx. 80M of 13mm (1/2 inch) anchor chain and 100M of heavy duty warp on board for deep water anchoring. A 40kg Rocna anchor (installed 2023) is secured to the chain by way of a Mantis swivel shackle and can be effortlessly deployed by using the 2300w (24V) Lofrans Titan winch (installed 2023).\nLIVE ABOARD\nTyrian benefits from 50mm foam insulation throughout keeping her cool in hot climates and cosy in cold climates. She has a Dickenson Lofoten diesel stove (installed 2023) as her primary heating source with an independent fuel tank (which can be refuelled automatically from main tank).\nShe has 6 berths in total (2 singles in aft cabin, 1 double in forecabin and 2 singles in saloon). All have lee boards and lee clothes installed.\nAll below deck areas have excellent head room (the boat was designed for a man of 6\'4" to be able to walkthrough freely). The interior is fitted out in ash wood which provides a high quality, light and airy finish.\nThe saloon is spacious and homely with the central table permitting the sitting of 12 people maximum. There are plenty of deep storage lockers and wall cabinet storage area built in too.\nThe navigation table has two seats allowing it to be used as a \'break out\' area for eating etc when need be.\nAll cabins benefit from warm LED lighting for general use and separate red lighting system for use in nighttime passage making.\nThe galley is well appointed and organised for aiding in preparation of meals on passage with a fridge/freezer unit (refrigerator installed 2023, 4" insulation all round), double sink unit, hot/cold water taps, a saltwater pump and plenty of storage space.\nThe heads are utilitarian in design, allowing for easy access to plumbing work for ease of maintenance on passage. Heads pumps are manual and not reliant on battery system. Hot/cold taps to sink with shower head extension. Outgoing effluent can be fed directly out to sea or via black water tank with macerator.\nBoth fore and aft cabins are private areas and benefit from large capacity storage lockers built in.\nELECTRICAL POWER\nDomestic Bank - 690A 12V bank, installed 2023 (3 x 230A 12V AGM Deep Cycle Batteries)\nAnchor Winch / Bow Thruster Bank - 110A 24V, installed 2023 (2 x AGM Starter Batteries)\nEngine Starter - 330A 12 bank, installed 2023 (3 x 110A 12V Lead Acid Starter Batteries)\n2nr 100W Solar Panels controlled by MPPT charge controller\n1nr Engine Battery Alternator\n1nr Domestic Battery Alternator\nEngine Room Battery Control Switching - House, Engine, Combined, Invertor Key\nAC Power via Isolating Transformer - 110V / 240V incoming\nProwatt 800 240V Inverter (sockets in saloon)\nShore Power Sterling Pro Charge Ultra 60Amp battery charger\nElectric bilge pump (switched at panel)\nSolar Panel - 2nr 100W flexibly mounted on guard rails\n12V switch panel\nShore Power 240V/110V switch panel\nLighting\nLED lighting throughout\nRed night lighting throughout also\nVictron Battery to Battery Charge Controller for 24V winch/anchor system\nELECTRONICS\nGarmin 923 GPS Map in Scanstrut pod at helm\nB&G Triton 2 Navigation instruments in Scanstrut pod in cockpit\nB&G Autopilot system (control unit, NEC3 Autopilot Computer and T3 Ram)\nB&G W310 Wind Sensor\nB&G Precision 9 Compass\nB&G V60B Radio & Class B (send and transmit) AIS Transceiver and GPS unit\nAirmar DST810 Multi-sensor transducer\nRescueMe EPIRB 1\nIridium Go!\n22" Mounted Flat screen monitor for open cpn etc. 12V supply\nCONSTRUCTION\nSTEEL 4mm Deck,5mm Topsides, 6mm Hull, 12mm Keel plate/Bow, Stern\nWatertight Bulkhead Bow / Stern\nAll steel bulkheads, Cockpit shelter\nBALLAST 8 Ton Lead in pigs in Keel sealed in Tanks, filled with 50 gal oil and capped off 6mm steel plate with 10mm on the keel\nMACHINERY\nFord New Holland 80hp Engine (2200 engine hours)\n27" Maxprop Folding 4-Blade Propellor\n1 3/4" Stainless Steel Prop Shaft\nSpare Fixed 3-Blade Propellor\nFlex Engine Mounts (replaced 2013)\nCutlass Bearing (replaced 2017)\nDiesel Tank 100 gallon in aft part of keel\nDECK GEAR\nAnchors\nROCNA 88lbs (40kgs) with 210ft (70M) of 1/2" (12mm) chain\nAnchor 60lb CQR\nWhitlock Steering Pedestal /Wheel /Steering Compass, quadrant, spare wire\nLofrans Titan 2300W (24V) Anchor Winch\nLewmar Deck hatches [4]\nGebo opening cabin lights [13]\nEmergency bilge pump worked in cockpit Edson\nHydrovane wind vane\nFenders, Lifebuoy and Lights x2 (lights replaced 2023)\nDeep safe cockpit\nRIGGING and SAILS\nMain/ Mizzen Spars by Selden and David Carne Rigging Custom main, mizzen, booms Main mast winches 2 x Lewmar 42 2 sp, 1 x Barient 24 2 sp, 1 x Lewmar 40 2 sp Reefing winch 1 x Lewmar 30 ST\nMizzen mast winches 1 x Lewmar 30 2 sp, 1 x Lewmar 40 2 sp Reefing winch i x Lewmar 16 ST\nMizzen Sheet 1 x Lewmar 40 2 sp\nYankee/ genoa sheet winch 2 x Lewmar 52 2 sp Staysail sheet winch 2 x Meissner 28 2 sp ST Furling winch Gib 28 ST\nMainsheet winch Enkes26 ASC 2 Sp ST SS jackstays\nShaeffer Furler for Yankee.\nSelf tensioning Stay for Storm Jib / Genoa\nBowsprit Alloy for Cruising Chute\nSpare snuffer\nAll Rigging Lines fully replace 2024 by FKG Marine.\nSAILS\nMainsail - Jeckells - 2001 - Overhauled 2015\nStackpack 2015\nMizzen - Kemp 2011\nStackpack - CJ MARINE 2007\nYankee\n2[nr] Staysails - Williams 1998\nMizzen staysail\nSpinnaker\nDOMESTIC EQUIPMENT\nTankage - all stainless steel\nWater - 2 x 175 Gallon tanks, 1nr 75 gallon tank\nBlack - 1 x 75 gallon tank\nHot Water Cylinder - approx. 40litres\nHot and Cold pressurised water system - new pump 2023 (with spare pump on board)\nIsotherm Refrigerator Unit in top opening icebox in galley\nDickenson Lofoten Deisel Heater with S/S flue - for cabin heating and also secondary stove top.
