This beautiful 1956 Shepherd Runabout is an outstanding example of craftsmanship in boatbuilding. At 6.71 meters long and 2.28 meters wide, this classic wooden boat offers a unique and stylish cruising experience. The hull is designed with a V-bottom, which contributes to stability and comfort while cruising, even in rough waters. The boat is in good condition after a recently completed restoration which cost son €25,000, with 15 new coats of paint applied to the upper deck, and the underwater hull treated including a new antifouling.
Powered by the original Chrysler (Crown) Marine Engine, a 135-hp V6 engine, this boat offers a maximum speed of 72 mph. The engine is electrically started and is reported to have 200 hours of operation. All original instruments are still present, including a tachometer, fuel tank gauge and temperature gauge.
In terms of equipment, the boat is equipped with a manual anchor, a spray hood, cockpit tent, tarpaulin, bimini, swim ladder, outdoor cushions, and fenders. Safety on board is ensured by an electric bilge pump.
